At a time like this, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with everything life has been throwing at me. Over the years, I’ve had to come up with various ways to deal with my stress and anxiety, and now more than ever, those tricks are being put to good use. For me, staying busy is a way to keep my mind off of the chaos of the world around me, and what better way to stay busy than to tackle the household projects I’ve been putting off for so long!
A great place to start is your closet. Not only can you clean up your own clutter, but donating or selling your clothes is an excellent way to help others. What I don’t donate, I like to sell on Poshmark. I’ve found some wonderful deals on there over the years, and I’d like to think I’ve given some great deals to other people, too!
It should come to no surprise that this has also been an excellent time to thoroughly disinfect everything in the house, especially high-traffic areas. And it’s also been a great time to dust the corners that have been neglected a little longer than I’d like to admit!
Organizing my bookshelves has been another undertaking, but a long overdue one. After debating my options, I decided to organize everything by color wherever possible. Now my need for visual harmony has been satisfied. Yay for rainbow colors!
So while this an opportunity came about due to some extremely unforeseen circumstances, this might just be the best time to make home base feel a little more like... well, home.
Splashing Right In
When Jenna McAdams arrives at Bay of Hope Animal Shelter, she knows there’s a good chance her heart will be stolen away by one of the pets. But, she certainly isn’t expecting it to be carried away by a handsome stranger named Zach who is looking to do adopt as well. And she certainly isn’t expecting to exchange numbers with him, either. Convinced it was just a token gesture, she doesn’t give it much thought, but she can’t deny the way he made her heart flutter. She may be giving her new furry friend the shelter he needs, but can she find her own shelter within Zach’s heart, too?
**Please note: This is Book 2 of the Crescent Key series, but can be read as a standalone, and is approximately an hour-long read.**
