Hi! To start off, please tell us your name, where you’re from, and what you write.
I’m Viviana MacKade, hailing from South Florida by way of England and, before it, Italy. I write Romantic Contemporary and Suspense.
How did you become an author? Please share a bit of your journey with us.
I was born that way (yeah, go ahead and sing it Lady Gaga style), judging by the pile of old stories I wrote while I was very young. The starting moment of doing it seriously, though, was when my husband had to go to Manchester, UK, for work for a week (we lived in Norwich, UK, at the time). It was around Halloween, and I had no classes (I used to teach Italian), so I sat on my couch and started writing. I’ve never stopped.
What are you working on now? Do you have a recent or upcoming release?
In July I’ll re-release book 2 of my Crescent Creek Series, currently in a boxed set. Then, in September, I’ll release the third and final story in the Series. No matter how much the Hero is making it hard for me, I can’t wait to finish the story!
Please tell us your favorite holiday and why.
It’s Thanksgiving. It’s a lovely holiday, but the reason behind it it’s not why I love it. My son was born on October 16, and it was so beautiful having all the decorations, the colors, the general good feeling. It was like the whole world was prepping up to welcome my son and after he was born, to celebrate his birthday.
Please share one piece of advice to aspiring authors - what do you wish someone would have told you? Or, what did someone tell you that you’d like to pass on to other?
Marketing is an inescapable bi#ch. Deal with it. Also, get into the book community ASAP in whatever form you want–FB, twitter, a blog. Do it before your book is out. Do it today. Did you do it?
1. City, suburb, or small-town?
2. Dark chocolate, light chocolate, or white chocolate?
If light is milk chocolate, then light. If not, white.
3. Alpha, beta, or both?
4. Wine, whiskey or punch?
5. Hot dogs, hamburgers, or tacos?
Lasagna (sorry, it’s compulsive).
6. Cowboy boots, biker boots, or flip-flops?
7. Leather, lace, or silk?
8. Cake, cookies, or crumpets?
10. Top, bottom, or against the wall?
Allow me to correct the above. It should be ‘top, bottom, and against the wall’.
11. Biceps, abs, or buns?
12. Cats, dogs, or exotics?
Thank you for stopping by, Viviana!!!
