Here's more info about K.M. Daughters >![]() Hi! To start off, please tell us your name, where you’re from, and what you write. Hi all! We’re so glad to meet you. I’m Pat Casiello and with me is my sister, Kathie Clare. We team write fiction novels in multi-genres: Romantic Suspense, Inspirational Romance, Contemporary Romance, Fantasy Romance and Mainstream Fiction under the pen name K.M. Daughters. How did you become an author? Please share a bit of your journey with us. My husband, familiar with Kathie’s and my dreams of publishing novels, gave me a wonderful birthday present about twelve years ago that included Kathie: a two week novel writing course at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop. Class critique of our individual WIP’s – both romance novels – was stressful to say the least. Our classmates considered themselves “serious writers” creating (depressing) literature. One comment during my critique: “Does everyone have to be beautiful?” In our world? Yes. :-) We learned a lot during those two weeks, however. And we continued honing our writing skills through RWA workshops. Kathie is credited with suggesting we team write our first novel, creating our first title (Reunion For The First Time) and coming up with our pen name dedicated to the memories of our parents, Kay and Mickey Lynch – the “K” and “M” in K.M. Daughters. On January 26, 2008 we received THE CALL – twice! In the morning we were offered a contract for our first Inspirational Romance, Jewel Of The Adriatic. Early evening that same day we received another contract offer for the first book in our Sullivan Boys Romantic Suspense Series, Against Doctors Orders. What are you working on now? Do you have a recent or upcoming release? We’re looking forward to the release, probably in the late summer or early fall, of our first Fantasy Romance set in Outer Banks, North Carolina – Kathie’s home. It’s a special place steeped in folklore and pirate history with amazing marine life and conservation initiatives. The title of the Book is Bewitching Breeze. It’s the first in our Sisters Of The Legend Trilogy. We’re giving away an autographed first edition celebrating LovRR’s Opening Bash. Here is a bit about Bewitching Breeze: Despite her fantastical abilities, Breeze Layton had no premonition that Jack Tremonti and his daughter, Gabriella, were her destiny when they checked into her family's Inn Of The Three Butterflies. Surrounded by her stunning sisters - identical to Bree - Jack only singles out Bree, increasingly bewitched by the woman and the seashore setting where his troubles melt away. When an FBI Agent with whom Bree had a romantic history involves Bree in an drug smuggling Operation, Jack's daughter is put in danger. Will Bree risk losing Jack to save Gabriella? Please tell us your favorite holiday and why. Christmas because of our love of faith and family; and because of the sparkle, the music and the spirit of generosity. Please share one piece of advice to aspiring authors - what do you wish someone would have told you? Or, what did someone tell you that you’d like to pass on to others? The most difficult challenge presented to an author, especially an author with a small publishing company, is reaching Readers. When an opportunity to connect to Readers is presented, don’t miss a single chance. Shaking a hand or sending a smile to a browser at a book signing, sending a note thanking a generous reviewer, “talking” with your fans on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter or via your website. Devoted Readers make your long hours of creating novels more than worthwhile. Speed round! Say the first thing that comes to mind! City, suburb, or small-town? Suburb Dark chocolate, light chocolate, or white chocolate? Light chocolate Boxers, briefs, or commando? Briefs Cowboy boots, biker boots, or flip-flops? Cowboy boots Biceps, abs, or buns? Yes. :-) Cats, dogs, or exotics? Dogs Any last words before we say goodbye? Thank you so much, Carissa and LoveRR for hosting us today. Joining this community is a joy for us. We love to read as much as we love to write. We look forward to visiting with you here often. And invite you to visit us at http://www.kmdaughters.com any time you like.
