Hi! To start off, please tell us your name, where you’re from, and what you write.
My name is Skylar Nightingale. I’m from Syracuse, NY.
How did you become an author? Please share a bit of your journey with us.
I started writing in the second grade. My teacher held up a picture with a character on it. We had to write a story about the character. The person that had the best story, won. I didn’t win the first one, but I won every one after that.
What are you working on now? Do you have a recent or upcoming release?
I’m working on a New Adult Romance. My most recent release is called Forbidden Acts: A Love Story.
What is the most challenging part of writing romance?
The most challenging part is sitting down and actually writing. Sometimes it is difficult to find the time.
What kind of research do you do when you set out to write a new book?
It depends on what I’m writing about. I may look up information about a medical condition that a character has or a business they may own.
Please share one piece of advice to aspiring authors - what do you wish someone would have told you?
Don’t give up. Sometimes it can seem challenging but never quit.
City, suburb, or small-town?
What’s your favorite type of chocolate?
I don’t like chocolate.
Alpha, beta, or both?
Vampire, werewolf, demon or angel?
Wine, whiskey or punch?
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, or other?
Boxers, briefs, or commando?
Cowboy boots, biker boots, or flip-flops?
Leather, lace, or silk?
Cake, cookies, or crumpets?
Top, bottom, or against the wall?
Against the wall
Biceps, abs, or buns?
Cats, dogs, or exotics?
Forbidden Acts: A Love Story
Life seems perfect for twenty-six-year-old Zuri Adara. She lands her dream job as an academic advisor, purchases a new home, and meets a beautiful guy who sets her heart aflame, Alex Nile. Unfortunately, he’s her twenty-year-old college student.
She feels an unexplainable connection when looking into his eyes, which tears her up inside. In attempts to repel the spark, she avoids eye contact with him. However, his presence alone causes her to question her resolve. One night while assisting with a school mixer event, Alex asks her to dance. She initially rejects the invitation, but the enrapturing moment compels her to drift onto the floor with him.
Suddenly, she stops and warns him that it can never happen again. Feeling disappointed in herself, she realizes she must come up with a solution to tame her yearning heart; otherwise, she risks giving in to her desires and losing it all.
