Before we start, how have you and your loved ones been during this COVID-19 time?
I’m on my own with my two furbabies Sharpe and Loki, and we’re doing well. My job is considered an essential service so I still work for now. Keeping my distances and staying home!
Please tell us a little about yourself: Do you have a nickname? Where are you from? What do you write? Tell us something about yourself that makes you, you. :-)
I’m from Eastern Quebec and was born and raised in French. I began writing in English early on mostly because I’m more inspired in English. I haven’t had a nickname in a long time, mostly because people call me by the short version of my name.
How did you become an author? Please share a bit of your journey with us.
I’ve been writing since as long as I can remember. It started with fanfiction in my teenage years (about The Crow and Don Juan de Marco). I took literature in college and stopped writing then because it was in French. Long story short, I hated those classes. I started writing again in 2014 during my recovery (flare up of a chronic illness) and haven’t stopped since.
What are you working on now? Do you have a recent or upcoming release?
I’m editing my novel to be published hopefully this year and have just released a two-part series, Bound Fate and Sealed Fate.
What is the most challenging part of writing romance?
Making sure it’s realistic. If it’s not believable, people will not finish your book.
What kind of research do you do when you set out to write a new book?
Everything! Name meanings, locations, jobs, architecture; I want to make sure I’m on the right track.
Which of your own books is your favorite?
My Fate series. I love those characters dearly and it takes place where my ancestors are from (Isle of Skye)
What are some of your favorite comfort foods?
Cheese, chocolate, lasagna, and movie popcorn. Nothing like an over buttered and salted popcorn!
What shows (or movies) have you been watching on Netflix/Hulu/Prime?
Anything you’d recommend? I really enjoyed October Faction, though it’s been canceled. I watch Outlander, Council of Dads. If you have Crave, I recommend Mirage with Clive Standen.
Please share one piece of advice to aspiring authors - what do you wish someone would have told you? Or, what did someone tell you that you’d like to pass on to others?
Research, listen to your gut, and EDIT!!
What is your favorite type of chocolate?
Dark with almonds
Alpha, beta, or both?
Wine, whiskey or punch?
Punch. I’m not a big drinker.
Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime?
I only have Netflix.
Leather, lace, or silk?
Leather!! *wiggles eyebrows**
Cake, cookies, or crumpets?
Top, bottom, or against the wall?
All of those.
Biceps, abs, or buns?
Cats, dogs, or exotics?
Exotics, if you consider a wolf to be exotic.
Any last words before we say goodbye?
Follow your dreams. Writing a novel was mine and I’m now on my fourth. Dreams do come true!

More About CM
CM Peters would like to be ageless but hasn’t found the fountain of youth just yet. She works in the communications field but her true passion is writing. She hails from Québec and has been back at writing regularly after a long break since college. An eclectic writer, CM is equally at home penning short erotica, quality fanfiction, and elaborate sci-fi and fantasy novels. Whatever genre she is working in, CM always centers her stories around complex, relatable characters. At the moment, she's hard at work on a new novel while preparing another for publication. She’s been published in erotica and romance anthologies, a collaborative book with Gallery Books, and co-edited a few anthologies, one coming in 2019. If she's not furiously typing, you'll surely find her with her eyes staring at the chocolate-brown beam in her living room to organize her next outline before putting it down on paper.
